30 years of technological development

Cobra was set up in the mid 1970s, creating a new technological approach to vehicle protection. The introduction of electronics made the previous generation of electro-mechanical alarms obsolete and opened up the road to the later development of applications until the point where safety was entrusted to satellite and computer technology.

«We were the first to devise an electronic circuit anti-theft system, the primitive siren; we were the main manufacturers of ultrasound sensors for monitoring the movement of non-authorised persons inside the vehicle and for remote monitoring of distances between obstacles and the car during manoeuvres. We are now the main European operators in stolen vehicle recovery, using Internet and telecommunications technology» they proudly say at the group’s headquarters.

Continuous product innovation and the creation of new solutions allow the company to stay in the front line of service provision and in offering systems that are ahead of the market and that favour technological evolutions, thirty years after the company was set up.
